All Mac clients (OS X 10.1.9 through 10.4.3) report "out of disk space" on
Windows 2003 Small Business Server volume with over 200GB free! The PCs have
no such problem. The Mac clients are using SMB protocol to access the
Windows volume. The server and the clients have the latest service packs and
updates. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thank you!

Under what circumstances does this error occur? Since Mac OS X
leverages Samba for its connectivity to Windows-based servers, we may
be seeing a quirkly little problem like a share name with a space in
it, or too many files in a folder, or something like that.

HTH.

MCSE,

I run a hybrid of Windows and Linux machines on our network, and I have
seen a similar problem. Sometimes when Samba encounters permission
errors, it interprets them as having access but no drive space. Are
you running an AD domain?
