KisMac has a curious option that utilizes a GPS device to draw a signal
map. What is it called? Where do i get this device? Will it work on
an iBook or Powerbook?

Probably any GPS device.
Most GPS devices come with some sort of serial cable.
Attatch this to the computer, and setup the GPS device to send NEMA
info (most do this all the time), and it'll just work.
