Assumption, the mother of all screwups.
Each "interface" has its own MAC address. There's no such thing as a
MAC address for the computah (contrary to what Microsloth seems to
suggest). There are different MAC addresses for the ethernet port,
wireless card, and any other 802.3 interface. If you're using a
wireless bridge radio plugged into your ethernet port, you have yet
another MAC address to deal with as a bridge has two additional MAC
addresses... one for the wireless side of the bridge and one for the
ethernet side of the bridge.

Where did you find the "addy"? Use whatever the WRT54G claims is the
wireless card's MAC address and ignore the label (and possibly ignore
the Pro2200 setup).

Yes. You can:
1. Disable MAC filtering.
2. Connect with your laptop.
3. Dive into the WRT54G web based menus and find the DHCP address
list or list of connected radios. There's in there somewhere.
4. Add that MAC address to the filter list. there's usually a buttom
to make it easy to add instead of typeing in the MAC address from
scratch. (I don't have a WRT54G handy to check).
5. Save
6. Enable MAC address filtering.
7. Save
The usual goof is forgetting to save the changes and settings.
What's an "addy"?
