MAC Filter required on repeater?

I have two D-Link DWL 700-AP units. One is configured as an access point,
the other as a repeater. I want to restrict access to my wireless network
using MAC address filters, and have entered into my access point the MAC
addresses I want to allow, together with the MAC address of the repeater.

Do I have to enable MAC address filtering on the repeater as well, and enter
allowed MAC addresses there, or will the MAC address filtering on the access
point take care of things by itself?
