MAC Bridge Miniport Service failed to start

When I reboot a Windows 2003 Server with no MAC Bridge Installed I get the
following error message...

The MAC Bridge Miniport Service failed to start due to the following error:
the system could not find the file specified.

the service does not appear in the services applet so I can disable it.
Where do I disable this service to prevent it from trying to start?
