Is there a program, utility or widget that allows you to see who the
user or machine names that are connected through the airport?
Is there a way to set a time that either allows or denies access to
the network?

Thanks for your feedback

arpwatch will probably run on a Mac. Tells you the MAC addys of any
h/w on your lan.

If it exists, it would be a feature of the Airport (my Dlink router
has such a facility).
I guess if youre using WPA you could set up a Radius server and
require authentication maybe?

Getting an AirPort Extreme base station to report its connected clients
depends on which model you've got. The new 802.11n (square) model can
apparently display this information through the AirPort Admin Utility
application. The older (spaceship) model requires a syslog server or the
AirPort Management Utility. Consult the "Base Station Logging" section
of the Designing AirPort Networks manual that applies to your model.

Without using third-party firmware, the only way to do this is to put
the base station on an electric timer to turn it on and off.

Time-based access control is now available with the new model. See
