The box says one thing. 00:...:C4
But the network sees another: 02....:C4
Configuration screen says what the box says, but it also
says that it has a LAN MAC address of 00:....:C5

What's the difference among all of these, whay so many,
and which one is the real one (i.e the one that my NAT
needs to know if it wants to establish a static IP for the
WAP)?

(I'm running in WAP only mode.)

Hi,

In your MN-700 you should see the following or something similar when you
log into your Base Station Management Tool:

BaseStation information

Runtime code version: 02.00.08.0333
Boot code version: 02.00.08.0333
LAN MAC address: 00-0D-XX-XX-XX-XX
MAC address: 00-0D-XX-XX-XX-XX
Serial number: XXXXXXXX
Hardware version: 00.00.00.0004

Your MAC address is the one that says MAC address and is the MAC address
that is seen by your cable modem or DSL modem.
Your LAN MAC address is the MAC address that your internal computers or
wireless network cards use to find the router.

That's what confuses me. What my NAT is seeing is neither
of these but 02-0D-XX-XX-XX-XX (that's 02 not 00) even
though the Management tool says 00. Any idea what's up
here?

The MAC address of your router is on the router itself. Just look at what
the label says and that's what it is. You can't go by the box, but if they
don't match someone did a swap somewhere along the line.
