It ought to mean "go up a directory level" -- in context it seems to
be a problem! Not quite sure why it's giving the error it is instead
of a 404...
I tried it in firefox, which silently transmogrified that URL into
http://wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/hand_numbness.htm (dropped the '/..') and
the new link worked.
