I have a NAS running w2k3 appliance edition. It joined my 2000 domain
without a problem then after a week, I cannot log on to the domain from this
machine I can only login locally. No services associated with networking:
netlogon, worstation, computer browser, time service, etc., will start. I
have tried the registry change recommended by Microsoft in relation to the
netlogon service not starting but no luck. Has anyone experienced this
problem and does anyone know how to fix it?

Look in Device Manager first. Is the network adapter even working? If it is
working, you're next stop is the Event Viewer. Besides 40961, what else
stands out in there? How often is 40961 occurring? Is your network adapter
pointing to an internal DNS server or an external (ISP) DNS server? Does it
have any setting at all pointing to an external DNS server? Please let us
know this first.

Yes, in Device Manager I have two network adapter working.
In event viewer - systems: at least 12 entries of 40960 and 40961
Event 7001, event 7024, 7036, 1053. On top of that I cannot run netdiag, it
errors out with entry point not found - the procedure entry point
DnsGetPrimaryDomainName_UTF8 could not be located in the dynamic link library
DNSAPI.dll. I cannot disjoin from the 2000 domain. Our DNS is internal and
I have configured the NICS first with static IPS and internal DNS's then I
tried DHCP but still no luck. Hope this is enough information.
