LPT direct connections

When establishing a connection via LPT1 ports from a XP
to an older Win98 Laptop system, how does one actually view
the win 98 system's hard drive? Its' C- Drive is shared
fully. When I search for computers, it does not show it the
computer search browser. Where do I go to view the older
Laptop's contents in order to process them?

The LPT1 connection icon shows a positive connection on
both computers. I just can not seem to view the contents on
the quest computer.

Any help would be appreciated... Thank You... Jim B
