LPD locks up

Recently configured IPP on one of our production server
that prints via HTTPS to another server running IPP. The
main funtion of the servers is for secure print only. The
issue we are having is the LPD on the primary server
seems to hang causing a reboot of the server. No other
applications are affected and the problem cannot be
resolved by just restarting the print server. The issue
happens about twice a week. Thanks in advance Chris.
