I have two computers - laptop is wireless to the office upstairs. My
wireless network connection is named "links**" - another nearby is "lou".
For the past week my laptop automatically connects to lou -
when I view all other networks available - there is mine with a full signal
strenght - change connections to mine and it now goes to one bar - low signal
strengh.
Is it time to change my wireless adapter on the laptop?
How can I delete the "lou"?
Thanks a bunch for any leads - I work remotely from home and this is slowing
me down greatly.....

Hi,
There actually are *two* signal meters, one for strength and another for quality.
For simplicity many wireless utilities show only one or some mix of them.
In your case there can be low quality that means a very noisy channel.
Try to change channel on your access point, or investigate your environment using
professional tools.
