HI
I have a dLink DI704P router feeding a hardwired pc about 20' away. I did
have a hub next to the PC to allow me to connect my notebook, but getting
ready to add wireless router so removed the hub
could not connect with pc - established the connection but no downloads -
about 25-50% success rate on pings.
put the hub between the router and patch jack and it works!
called dlink tech spt and they said it might be low signal strength, so hub
is acting as booster? does this make sense. I checked and swapped all the
cables to make sure i didn't have any crossovers (and checked that hub not
using cascade port)
I would love to clean up and remove the hub - any thoughts?
Thanks
Peter
