lousy wireless router barely works even 50 feet away thru air

yes it has antennas and yes I am very technically good!
so why does it work so poorly most of the time.

what router
what adapter
what computer and OS

Just saw your other post,
(why some people post twice and expect you to know what they are talking
about beats me)

Try one of these:

Or return that router and try a different brand.

pure frustration. I read all about these things, how people can connect
even all the way to a neighbors house but of course, wont work for me.
But really I am mostly just dissapointed.
Router is gateway WGR-250
reciever is wireless usb adapter wgu-210

they are 802.11g and I will never buy a piece of gateway stuff ever
again. No wonder they are almost out of business.

You're blaming Gateway for fundamental radio problems? No wonder you're
unhappy.
