Hello,

When using client XP AND Serveur Windows 2003, I got some lost of connexion
between clients and the server. I only have the problem with XP clients
(SP1), not with Windows 2000. I suppose this are something to do with the
strategy used on Windows XP systems. However, I have all of the patch
installed and still have the problem.

Does someone know something about it ?

Thank you

Hi David,
Please explain in more detail. Do you mean Mapped Drives to the
Windows 2003 Server, do you get an error message. Please explain the exact
symptoms of the problem.

Thank you,

Re,

Same as "Lock Time Error" post.

A client application write data to a Paradox table on the server every 3
minutes. For some reasons on the XP clients, the connexion to the server get
lost and the Database application comes up with the "Lock Time out" error.
At the ssame time, all other applications using Server ressources (as
files), crashed. We need to restart the application.

So, I don't know if the database application causes the lost of network
connexion or if it is something else. I experience sometime trouble when
printing a word document. The printer print out some random characters
(#,@XXX, etc.) and then the file looks the same on the computer. It happends
3 times in 2 weeks. Maybe it is related, maybe not. However, thoses problems
only happends with XP client and XP server.

Any ideas ?
