Lost network connection after running windows updates

I have a small business network of six stations running
Win98 and a server running Win2000 Server. Everything
has been fine for until running windows update on two of
the stations, thay no longer can connect to the server.
The driver mapping is still there, but they do not even
see each other in NetHood. I have looked at this from
every angle I know. The stations that have not been
updated are still fully functional. Any suggestions
