Hi,

For some unknown reason when I go to 'Network and Dial-up Connections' no
connections appear! I have a dual port network card in the server and
everything is working fine communications wise - ipconfig shows the ip
addresses assigned to the nics as expected but I cannot get to access the
settings any other way!

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Is the network connections service running?

I had a multi-faceted problem that included a symptom like yours after
installing SP1 for Server 2K3 but that service would not start.

Removing SP1 fixed all problems for me. Other than that maybe the only
thing you can try is using netsh to reset everything if there is a corruption.

Or this.

How to troubleshoot missing network connections icons in Windows Server 2003
and in Windows XP:

A field note I have indicates that the APC UPS service may also cause this
problem.
