Lost internet connection for workstations and server

Was doing my final preparations for deploying a 2003 server and was running
the SCW and a few other things when I noticed after a while that all my
workstations and server cannot to the internet.. Incoming connections for
VPN and PcAnywhere still work.. (all was working fine till I got carried
away)

Can someone point me in a direction to see what setting I may have set
wrong..

Tried the roll back in the SCW - but think I am too late for that.. I tried
too many other changes there..

So, I am not sure where the problem might be.. Server running 2 NIC's
w/Routing, file server, App server, VPN server, DNS and DHCP..

Any help appreciated... (this was a used system donated to my church, so I
have limited experience with 2003 server)

TIA

Jim

There are many possibilities.

1. Since you have tow NICs, I would check the TCP/IP settings first and make sure only one NIC has default gateway.
2. I would check VPN outbound filter.
3. Finally, it could be DNS issue too.
posting the result of ipconfig /all may help.

Hey - I just remembered - I replaced one of the NIC's (the one used for
Private LAN) it was only 10MB so I replaced it with the SMC Pro100.. So I
think that is where the problem is.. the settings on that interface..

I guess I didn't set that up right...

I am getting a message that address 192.168.0.1 is assinged to a another
adapter that is hidden from from the network connection folder (probably
because it has been removed by me).. I selected NO to the "Do you want to
enter a different ip address" question..

What can I check next?..

Well - I got it working... deleted the setups for routing , dns and dhcp and set a new IP range for the private lan..(something I wanted to do anyway, didn't want to use the same range that is used by most home routers) .. the website help pages helped alot.. thanks..
