Lost Ability to Connect Wireless After IE Upgrade

I downloaded and ran the IE7 setup on one of our laptops and now it
cannot connect to our wireless home network. it see the network fine
but cannot make the connection. The laptop is a Dell Latitude D820
with the Intel pro wireless and bluetooth. Any suggestions appreciated.

IE7 -> File
Uncheck "Work Offline".

How can you "see the network fine" and at the same time "cannot
connect to our wireless home network"?
Can you browse the internet?
Can you see other computers on your WLAN/LAN with:
Start -> run -> cmd <enter>
net view
What does Intel Proset or Windoze Wireless Zero Config status show?
