Hi

I have the LinkSys BEFW11S4 V4. And i have the most peculiar problem.

I have 3 computers in the house. One stationary, connected by cable to the
router. Another stationary connected by wireless and finally one notebook
also connected by wireless.

When i only use the cable-connected stationary and the notebook, there is no
problem, but as soon as i start up the other stationary computer connected
wireless, the router becomes unstable.

It will run for some time, but then it will stop sending data through the
wireless connection to both connected computers. Disconnect and reconnect
the power to the router and it restarts to deliver an internet signal again.
The cable computer never looses it signal. And it makes no difference if
there is data transference at the moment or not.

As for now i must admit, that i have not studied wether this situation
happens without the notebook, since this one is always online. There is no
telling how long the connection stays alive. Some times it's 5 minuttes
other times it's over 1-2 hours. Only thing sure is, that it will be lost at
one time or other.

Pse help, if you have any idea....

Kindly

Finn

I recommend running Ethereal on the wireless stationary computer and getting
a trace of the prelude to disconnection. Post your results and we'll help
you interpret them.
