Loss of Printing/Internet Connection on Wireless Network

I have two desktop PC's both running Windows 98. I recently set up a
wireless network between the two. One PC hosts the DSL modem
connection we share and the other hosts the HP printer that is also
shared. Everything works fine until I try to print. If I try to print
from the networked PC, it will print one job. The second time I
attempt to print, it tells me that the network printer isn't
available. Network Neighborhood is no longer listing my shared
printer. On the PC that hosts the printer and uses the network to
access the DSL modem, randomly it will not be able to access the
internet. The whole time, Linksys shows that our connection is running
and that signal strength is good. Can someone help me out? Is it b/c
one PC hosts the modem and the other hosts the printer? At a loss.
