I would look for hardware conflicts between the ethernet
and printer cards (such as i/o conflicts). I don't know
if you are using an USB adapter for the printer, a
parallel cable, or something else...
You should go to Control Panel, open System, and look
under Devices for conflicts. Another way to go if
possible, is to change the port the printer is attached
to.
