Hi,
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas.
We have a customer with three Windows 98 machines all
connected together in a peer-to-peer network. One
machine acting as a server the other two as slave
machines. The two slave machines map a drive (drive E

to a directory on the server.
This all works fine. Recently when the come in on a
morning the slave machines can't access the master
machines drive until the master is restarted? I dialled
into there backoffice machine and attempting to ping one
of the slave machines. I got no response.
I got our customer to ping the Master machine from one of
the slaves and they did get a response.
What could be changing the network state over night ?
Thanks
Ray Harrison
