Lose wireless connection on reboot

When I reboot computer I am not connected to the wireless router. I am
using wep 128 encrypt security.
I have to go back though an installation of the NIC to find the available
net works and reenter the security key to make the contact.
this is D link hardware and software. I have followed all the set up
directions, but it doesn't see to hold
