Hi,

I installed a Windows Virtual Server 2005 R2 64Bits with a Virtual Machine.
After al while I cannot ping to the gateway anymore when I'm in the Virtual
Server 2005 environment. In the Virtual Machine everything keeps working fine.

Because of the loss of the IP connectivity I cannot connect to the internet
and other PC's from the Virtual Server. Afther reboot the problem is solved
for the moment, but after a while I'm loosing the connectivity all over again.

Does anyone recognice this problem and has anyone a solution?

I found out nearly the same problem, but worse. I loosed all connectivity to
the host system from remote computers a while after my first VPC was up and
running. The guest OS kept on running, but any tries to access the host
system failed. After some trial and error I tested to to a Remote Desktop to
the guest OS, which worked. Inside the guest OS i was able to do at Remote
Desktop to the host and manage it, as well as accessing the virtual manager
thru http from the guest to the host.

Solution? Add a second netcard. Use one card explicity for the host and
remove the binding to that cad for Virtual Server. Use the other netcard for
the guests.
