Loosing Internet Connection

With a 3Com LAN Modem, I loose the Internet connection after a reboot.
After I run winipcfg release all , renew all, on the network adaptor, the
connection returns.

The connection to the office network is not effected by the problem.

What do I need to do to keep from having to run winipcfg everyday.
