Loopback issue in MN-700

I'm hosting servers out of my house and loopback is broken
on the MN-700. I know it was fixed on the MN-500, why
isn't it fixed on the MN-700?

For those of you who are not familiar with loopback,
anyone outside of my network is able to get to my domains,
but when I try to access them internally, they do not get
routed correctly.

Is there a firmware upgrade for the MN-700 to fix the
loopback?

No update yet, Jose. We've asked, and there seem to be other items of more
importance. Microsoft is aware, but we (the MVPs in this newsgroup) haven't
heard when or if there will be a patch for this often asked question. If
you wish to invest a little time, telephone the support number in your
User's Guide and register your request for loop back support in the MN-700.

At this time, there is no firmware upgrade that will give the MN700 loopback
capability.

Hopefully MS will consider including this in a future firmware update.
I'd recommend calling the MSBBN support line and log your request for this
feature.

That's pretty lame. I actually work at Microsoft at their
headquarters. Since it's a friday night I figured this
would be the best place to get a quick answer. When I go
in next week I'll contact the team and see what the status
is. It doesn't make sense that they'd fix it for the MN-
500 and not the MN-700.

the 500 and 700 use different operating systems. I don't think the OS
in the 700 supports this. I don't know if an upgrade for loopback is
even planned. if you get info from the team, please post it here for
all, as MVP's do not have any info on this, other than we want to see
it as well.

Lame is not the word for it. Check the other posts in this group for examples of
how little the MS wireless stuff does do in practice and then check to see how
little has changed since the initial release. One could get the impression that
there is no "team" working on this stuff.

What's the workaround until a firmware update is released?
Do I have to manually enter the server names in the hosts
file, or is there a better way to handle it?

I wounder what was MS thinking to release a router without loopback
support... Oh! and with unusable DSL before the firmware update...
