Hi

I just got BT ADSL Broadband installedand the modem supplied is USB, i
also have a US Robotics 4 port router that does NAT, DHCP etc. I was
hoping the modem would have a CAT 5 port so i could plug into my
router direct but unfortunatly it doesnt.

Can anyone advise me what the best way to share my internet connection
amongst a few Windows PCs using my modem and router, as i dont want to
have to buy a combined unit.

I could do Windows internet connection sharing but seems a bit messy
as my USR Router can do all the work that ISC does (DHCP and NAT)
Clients are either Windows 98 or XP.

TIA

Doug

If you want to use your existing router, you'll have to throw away your USB
modem (good idea anyway!) and get an ADSL modem which has an ethernet
output - which will connect to the ethernet port of your router.
