Hello all. I am looking for a few of the old Linksys WAP11 version 1
units. They are the ones which have a USB interface for programming them.
They do NOT have a Web interface like the new ones do. If you know what
units I'm referring to, and have one or more that you'd like to get rid
of, please contact me:
http://www.pectol.com/buy-wap11.html

These devices are at least 2-3 years old now. If you can help me, I'd
like to hear from you. Thanks!

I bought a pair of ebay not too long ago.

I needed to setup a wireless bridge between two buildings, and I wanted to
be able to use the WAP11 hack to boost the signal.

Thanks. Yeah, I've seen that mod before but after analyzing the
transmitted signal to noise ratio with that mod in place, I concluded
that you don't gain much by overdriving the finals in the card. The mod
that makes more sense to me is to bypass the power divider and RF switch
and route the signal out a single port. You can gain an easy 4 to 5 dB
on both TX and RX that way while maintaining a relatively "clean" TX
spectrum. Anyway, thanks again and I'll search on Ebay as you suggested.
Take care.

Robert

Is there any info on the net about this mod?

I have several WAP11, v2.2 on fixed links, which could do with a little
helping hand!

Seasons Greetings
