Looking for new ISP

I'm nearing the end of a 12
month broadband contract with BT adsl, so was wondering what the word
on the street is about the best deal on the best isp at the moment. I
don't need a lot, about 10gb per month, multi emails a little bit of
webspace to ftp my homepages to (proper html, not any of this template
rubbish) and customer service that can answer in English, not tell you
20 different freephone numbers to ring as it's not their dept.

Can't get BE in my area, wish to pay between 10 -20 quid per month

Andy

I assume you have looked at Sam Knows.
Have you sent enquiry to ask Be if any chance in near future.
O2 are same company they own Be, try them as I think when no LLU equipment
in your exchange they arrange something.
Regards
David

Be are not the ISP for you in any case as they don't do web space. You
can look forward to the usual advice about separating your ISP and
email/web services.

To be honest I know I said web space but at a push I could do without
that. It seems the game now is to try and get the cheapest
broadband/landline/callplan bundle and for that they all seem to be
wanting to contract you. Someone else suggested Nildram to me, when I
phoned to ask about the service the up shot was they wanted to sell me
an opal bundle 29 quid all in evens and weekends 5pm - 9am 6 quid/line
rental 13 quid/broadband 10 quid 40gb per month no email or webspace

In which case, what is their customer service like?

Well, Eclipse don't rate too badly on

<http://www.thinkbroadband.com/isp/compare.html?isp_7=1&isp_12=1&isp_77=1&commit=Comp are>

The £20 'Home Select' is 50GB/month & includes web space, UK based
support etc...

Surely an ISP that works "out of the box" so that you never need to call a
CS department would be better?

How often have you hade to call in the past?
