hi, i live in mexico and have a dsl broadband conection, right now i have
the wired modem speedstream 5200 with is pretty good (in fact i turn it from
bridge to router and works great), however i want to switch to wireless and
the only wireless modem provided for Telmex (the mexican monopoly of
landline and dsl conections) is the 2wire 1700.

I was looking in the 2wire website and fell in love for the new 2700hgv dsl
getaway. It is dsl modem, router, firewall, wireless and voip all in one.
However 2wire only gives its products to broadband isps and Telmex will
never allow this kind of modem since they own the market of landline
telephony and will never allowed voip.

I have a postal address in south texas i only need a way to get this modem.

can you help me with this?

thank you
