Long SMB share names

Hello,

I found that the smbclient program that comes with Samba 2.2.3 can
only display share names that are no longer 8 characters. Mounting
shares with long names is possible, they just don't get displayed.

Is this fixed in a later version, i.e. Samba 2.2.8 or Samba 3.0?

Hi,

I am using smbclient 2.2.8a, and this limit of 8 characters does not exist.
I can't remember having this limitation with 2.2.3 though...
Are you mounting Shares on a WIN95 machine?

It's an Windows XP machine. The same thing happens with shares on
another Linux machine running Samba 2.2.3.
