Long login times into 2k domain

I have 5 windows 2000 clients and 3 xp pro clients. They are using a
windows 2000 advnaced server domain controller. The problem is that the
xp clients are tkaing voer a minute to log in. I have seen this issue
before on a collegue's network but he doesn't remember what he did to
fix it. How can i rectify thi issue? I have killed the firewalls on
all of the xp machines and have checked my dns and they are fine. Any
ideas on how to fix this?
