Long Domain Names

All,

I am setting up a network and can't get certain win98
machine on the other side of a WAN to connect to the
domain controller because the field to enter the domain
controllers name is too short. To connect the 98 machines
across the WAN it is necessary to use the full
distinguished name, in my case hoshinousa.hoshinousa.com
(don't ask, can't be changed easily). The field for the
domain controller name in 98 allows for hoshinousa.ho and
nothing more. Does anyone know a work-around for this
one? Many thanks in advance!

Regards,

Dan Brown

Sorry, no workaround. Windows 98 does not support long domain names.
