I have a dream...
A friend who lives about .85miles away from me has cable. I however do not (I
love BrightHouse). So I had a dream/idea to hookup two wireless routers with
some directional antennas on both ends and wha-la, I have broadband.
Let me know if it can be done, and what hardware will I need. I'm guessing two
802.11g wireless routers, and two high gain directional antennas...does that
sound right? Dialup does get very old...very. Line of sight is pretty damn
good, just long distance.

Please help me guys.

Thanks...

Do a search on google to find what you want. Many people have done what you
are attempting to do. There are good articles on antennas, how to build
your own, what to expect, etc. Try something like this for a search:

Wi-Fi antenna wireless range

FYI: Check the T&C for your friend's ISP - most prohibit sharing the cable
with neighbours.

Yup. Google searches should turn up plenty of possibilities.
