Can anyone one tell me how long it takes before you can actually use
broadband from the moment you order it?

Thanks in advance

How long's a piece of string.....

It's anything from a few days to a few weeks (& in some cases even
longer...)

In my case it was a couple of weeks with tesco.net
I think the time factor is dependent on BT checking then activateing the
line.

With Pipex, it only took 8 days. And now I'm up and running for the
past 6 days and no probs at all.

It varies, but most commonly 7-10 days.

There are two factors to consider. First is how long before the ISP places
the order with BT? Secondly how quickly do BT respond to that order at the
particular exchange? From these two questions it should be clear that the
time can be very variable. The average seems to be 7 to 10 days.
