My XP workstation has mysteriously switched from being a
workstation to a domain clone when I logon. It used to
have the logon icons with all users now all I can use is
the logon used with a domain. The "switch user" choice is
also gone.

How do I get switched back to a workstation logon?

Myrt,

You want the Welcome screen back? Control Panel - "Change the way users log on
or off" - "Use the Welcome screen".

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
