I'm having an odd issue with logon scripts... They dont seem to run
when I put them under the user configuration.. scripts.. logon..
Anything else I change in the policy shows up (default domain policy).
If I do a rsop.msc or gpresult the cmd file that should be running on
login does show up.
I also tried moving the cmd batch file over to the netlogon folder (old
school). It didnt fire from there either.
I verified that the user could run the file manually by going to
\\domain.local\SYSVOL\ etc.
If i ping domain.local.. it resolves to my 2ndary domain controller...
I have 2 dns servers in my domain.. the 2ndary domain controller is the
2nd dns server I have configured.
If i goto that machine and do a \\machinename\netlogon I can see the
file there as well.
The file (I simplified it for testing) is just a batch file with a
Pause line in it.. nothing fancy.
I'm at a loss as to why neither the GPO nor the Netlogon method will
not work?
Any ideas or help would be great
Thanks
Mark
