Hello.

I have a problem. I have a logon script assigned to a user on win2k3
domain. But whenever the user logs in to the workstation (windows 2000
pro) the script fails to map a network drive giving "access denied"
error.

if i go to cmd and type manually \\myserver\netlogon\somefile.bat --
the script executes without error.

Please help.
Alex

For troubleshooting purposes:
What happens if you comment out the mapped drive lines in the script and put
them in a separate batch file and place a shortcut to the bat file in the
user's "Startup" section of the startup menu? This will run the mapped
drive command when the desktop loads after the user "login" has completed.

That should work, but then I have to put that shortcut onto each users'
machine.

It is just for troublshooting, ...wasn't mean to be a permanent solution.

I thought I read once about permissions issues that can cause the problem in
login scripts but I wasn't able to find anything about it yesterday.
