logon problems with terminal server

Hi
i have win2k3 domain,dns(active directory zone), terminal server. dc1
i have added another w2k3 server,made it global catalog, installed dns as a
secondary zone, terminal server installed also, dc2

now when i disconnect dc1 from the network and from a clinet machine i open
terminal and connect to dc2 i get the login prompt, when i login i get an
error :
you cannot logon because domain is not available

can someone assist me with this error?

On DC2, when you say you added DNS "as a secondary zone".. that should be an
AD-integrated zone.

Just to clarify .. you're running full terminal services (not remote desktop
for admins) on DC1? You really don't want to do that. A terminal server box
should be a member server in the domain, with no other roles. If all you
need is remote administration, do not install Terminal Services....you can
use the built-in remote desktop for that.
