I have several users that when they logon to the domain a login script runs
to map them to several drives on different servers. now their home drives
are mapped to a NAS server running windows 2003 server and another drive is
mapped to a server running windows 2000. When the logon script runs I get
an error message on the windows 2000 server and the rest of the drives are
mapped fine. the error I get on the 2000 server is:

Logon Failure:
Reason: Unknown user name or bad password
User Name:
Domain:
Logon Type: 3
Logon Process: NtLmSsp
Authentication Package: NTLM
Workstation Name: NYSPLT
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
the windows 2000 server is on the same domain as the NAS servers are on.
any suggestions as to why this would be happening.

Perhaps it is credentials issue. try to cache the credentials by this command: net use \\2000servershared /U:username password. If this command works, logoff and re-logon, can you run the script now? please post back with the result.
