I work in a Windows server 2003 enviroment and we have certain AD users that
log off for the day and when they return, the Username/password field is
grayed out. Only the "Logon To" field allows options. I have heard that it
could be a gina.dll problem or "guest" user account being disabled. I do not
believe this is the case. It is tied to the user and not the local machine.
He/She has the same issue on any pc that they log off of in their area.
anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

Do you have VNC installed on these computers? If yes, remove it and the
problem should go away.

No, We use "Remote Control" from MacAfee. Also, I have deleted the users AD
account and then readded it. This has not seemed to fix the issue. Again,
when he/she loggs off any pc in their area, this happens. I even deleted the
users profile on the pc and still the same.

Hi,

Does this happen only on Windows Server 2003 or also on other operating
systems?

Can you tell me what if any 3rd party tools are installed on these
computers?
