login scripts

Having just started in this job, and having never used
windows 98 clients in a domain before, I've never seen
this problem.

The windows 98 clients don't process the login script when
users login to the network. The previous IT Admin guy
setup a batch file running in the startup group instead to
setup the mapped drives.

While this works for all the users, when I login I don't
get my drive mappings, just the standard ones.

Should login scripts be processed okay by win98 clients?
