I have a Windows 98 computer attempting to logon to a
domain controller located in another town. The two sites
are connected via point-to-point T1 links. The Windows 98
machine in question can ping, browse to, and visit web
pages located on said domain controller; however, this
Windows 98 machine CANNOT authenticate to it's domain. It
is a member of the domain, and the user account used to
try to authenticate is valid. This Windows 98 machine is
given the following error message upon logon attempt:

"The domain password you supplied is incorrect or access
to your logon server has been denied."

Any thoughts?

Win2K is case sensitive on passwords unlike it's
predicessors. have the P/W reset and then try again
keeping the correct case on the Letters of the password

Thanks, but this isn't the case. I've logged on as this
user successfully from within the LAN local to the DC.

Have you machine installed the Active Directory Client?

It is posible that your user is locked. So you need your
user to be unlocked.
