I have aworkgroup of mixed machines, Win XP, Win 2k, OS2 Warp Server
and Linux.

In the nework services under Samba, I can see the workgroup (called
domain) and when I go into the workgroup, I can see each of the peer
machines.

If I click on one of the Windows machines, I get asked for an ID and
password, which I can provide and get access to the shared resources
on that machine.

When I click on one of the OS2 machines, all I get is an error that I
do not have access to that resource.

How / where do I specify the ID and password. I know what the
authentication should be, and would like to provide it. But don't see
anyplace, specific to the logon ID, where I can provide it. Or is it
more fundamental than that and I hav to initiate some other service I
don't recognize.

Thanks.

Alex
