On my Windows 98 PC, after reboot, there is an "Enter Network
Password" dialog.

It allows you to cancel out of it and bypass having to enter a
password. I want to change this so it will not do this. I want to
require that a password be entered. How do I do this?

I also have a second problem. In reading about how to do this online,
someone suggested added a "MustBeValidated" entry using REGEDIT to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:Network:Logon. I did this, now it asks for the
DOMAIN, but I don't know what this is. I know the account on the 98 PC
has "Home" as the workgroup, but this does not work as the domain.

So, now I can't get on at all. I get a dialog box stating that the
network could not validate my user name.

So, I need to know how to fix this since I can't even log in. And, I
need to know how to make it require a password and not allow people to
cancel out of the login dialog box.

Thanks,
Steve

Read here:

However, this will only keep the casual visitor out. If you want true logon
security then you need Windows 2000 or XP.
