Hello,

I am curious to know if i have done my domain cifiguration correctly. I am
experiencing no problem at this time however I may have addded an unecessary
step.

I have a small network of one server and AD DC and 2 XP pro machines. Both
are joined to the Domain.

Each machine has its own username and password.

But what I am not sure of is was it necessary to create these users on the
server also or could I have just joined the PC's with my administrator
credentials for both machines?

This is my first DC/AD so I am not sure?

Thank you
Joe

You will be fine either way. You are extremly small so I don't see it
causing a problem, you could have done it with your admin id just as easily.
It proves your domain is working correctly if DNS can reconize the pc names
and accept them into the domain that means your most important part of AD is
working DNS.

Good luck.
