That's why Windows Update is disabled (and will remain so) on all our
machines. I only install the patches that *I* decide I want. I trust the AV
software to protect us from viruses better than I trust the constant barrage
of patches to handle the alledged vulnerabilities. I also keep our system
well isolated and protected from the internet via Firewalls & Proxys. With
the exception of a few well-known and established patches, I always wait for
the full service pack.
