Log on to windows

Hi
I have a question concerning wndows authentication. I have a Windows 2000
Network with AD with DHCP. I have two domain controllers. Every morning some
clinets take a while to authenticate to one of the servers. When you log on
it stays stuck for while and usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes before you
are logged on to the client. This only happens to some of the clients and I
would assume its is does clients that get authenticated on one of the domain
controllers since this domain controller is extremly slow and only after a
reboot it get back to normal. Now the question is can these clinets be moved
from authenticating on this domain controller to the other which has no
problems?? If it can how can it be done?? And what could be wrong with the
server?? Thanks

First of all, the slow logon could be DNS issue too. Since you have two Domain controllers, you may try to make both of them as global catalog server. check this case study for more details,

Robert thanks for the quick response but let me tell you that both my DC's
are already GC. So what do you think now is the problem?? Help!
