Hi friends,

one simple question for you - a XP station after 1- or 15 mins of inactivity
gets locked. Is it due to some settings in Local Security Policies or coming
form domain GPOs or something else?

Thanks a lot in advance

Alex

It is getting locked from a screen saver? That could be local or domain
policy. Right-click on your desktop | Properties | Screensaver tab and check
what the value of the Wait box is.

no Richard, forgot to tell, sorry, I checked it before posting, that setting
is clear, it's something else.

I'm also having a similar problem but with people using RDP into a
server. They get locked out after just a 10-15 minutes of inactivity.
I have scoured Group and Local Policies but cannot make this change.

Matt for yours you want to check the tscc. Launch tscc.msc on that box and
highlight connections. This will put RDP-Tcp in the right-pane. Right-click
and go to the sessions tab. Look at the idle session limit settings in here.

Alex, still working on it for you. Do you have a place to post your RSOP?

Let me know if this is helpful

Hi guys,

The best thing to do in this scneario is to deploy a screen saver policy on
all the machines after 1 hour of inactivity.
